E! News caught up with Taylor Sweeney, a Penn State student leader running for Homecoming Queen 2015, to discuss her life, accomplishment, and aspirations. Taylor welcomed the opportunity to open up his world to the public and we enjoyed exploring it.

E!: Taylor, thank you for accepting our invitation to do this interview. How are you doing today? You look wonderful!

Taylor: [Smiles] Thank you, thank you. I'm doing wonderful. It's beautiful weather outside so that always makes for a great day. Yourself?

E!: I'm doing well, thank you for asking. You're so kind.

Taylor: [Smiles]

E!: So let's start with some background. Tell us where you're from and some basic information. The first date stuff [Laughs].

Taylor: I'm 22 years old, from Perkasie, Pennsylvania, born the 17th of September 1993. I have one younger sister who's so energetic, and gives my mom and dad a run for their money [laughs].

E!: What about your hobbies? What do you like to do when you have spare time?

Taylor: I love, love, love to bake! But please, I'm not looking to start a side business [laughs]. But I really enjoy it.

E!: Would your friends agree?

Taylor: Oh, they love that I love to bake.

E!: [Laughs].

Taylor: I also enjoying reading and doing jigsaw puzzles from time to time.

E!: That's a new one, gotta admit. Never heard that one before. So we're at Penn State. What's your major?

Taylor: I'm an Architectural Engineering major.

E!: Impressive. And you've been involved in a list of organizations, right? Just list them for us.

Taylor: I've been involved with Students Enganging Students, very rewarding. I was a Workshop Coordinator from 2012-2013, the Internal Administrations Director from 2013-2014, the Training and Development Director from 2014-2015, and the Executive Director for 2015-2016 which is very exciting. In FreshSTART I was the Service Sites Director for the Day of Service in 2014, and I'm the Executive Director for 2015. Let's see, there's also my membership in Student Society of Architectural Engineers, National Association of Home Builders, and Student Organization Resource Team. I also participated in LeaderShape last semester. I am the State of State 2015 Speech Coordinator for the Content Committee. I also have the pleasure of being a member of various honor societies.

E!: Nice! And we hear that you were recognized as the "Everyday Person" by The Penn Stater Magazine in July and made Dean's List last semester, correct?

Taylor: Yes, yes, I was and did.

E!: Well, that's amazing. We're certainly happy for all of your successes. Tell us about some of the ways you've given back.

Taylor: I was involved with Into the Streets for a few years and was able to volunteer at a lot of different locations such as PAWS, Elmcroft Assisted Living, Faith Centre, Shaver's Creek, Pets Come First, etc. I also volunteered at Gita Nagari Yoga Farm. I enjoyed serving during the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and through Lead In Action.

E!: What other activities have you done?

Taylor: At Forrester Construction Company I worked on the expansion project at Arlington National Cemetery. I also worked as a Customer Service Teller for National Penn Bank and Kish Bank, and was the Office Assistant at RJ Higgins Auto Mechanic and Scrap Yard.

E!: Tell us about your future aspirations.

Taylor: Right after college I am moving to DC to work for Forrester Construction Company, a general contractor in the DC area.  I hope to work on historic renovations and one day become a project manager for them.  Long term I see myself settling in either DC or the Philly region. I want kids, lots of kids, like 5 or 6.  Eventually I would like to own a bakery that supports the kids in the community.  The goal would be to use the profit of the bakery to ensure that children in the area are fed three full meals a day, so it would work to combat childhood hunger.  Also at the bakery I would have classes for children to come to after school to learn more about the kitchen, these classes would serve as an after school care for the students and to help keep them off the  streets.

E!: What or who inspires you to dream so big?

Taylor: My grandmother inspires me. Simply put she is an amazing woman.
